Historic Preservation
The architect earned a Certificate in Historic Preservation from the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning in 2014. Long before that, his interest and passion for historic preservation began in Portland, Oregon while working in Portland’s Old Town district. Upon moving to Asheville, he began working on the revitalization of an an abounded school campus which he recreated as Crest Mountain. Today he works with the preservation groups Progress with Preservation in Covington, Kentucky, the Cincinnati Preservation Association, and Preserve Cincinnati, and has ongoing projects on both sides of the Ohio River in historic Covington, Kentucky, and Cincinnati’s Over-The-Rhine Historic District.

Adaptive Re-Use Multi-Family

The architect has extensive experience in multi-family design beginning Portland, Oregon with the Kearny House Apartments while working with William Church Architect. He continued his multi-family experience with the Cirrus Condominiums at Crest Moutnain in Asheville, North Carolina. Today he is the architect for Marian Development in Louisville, developers of historic preservation, adaptive reuse, and multi-family projects. He has completed extensive training in Fair Housing and Accessible design requirements for FHAA and Section 503 projects.

Restaurant and Bar Design

Restaurant and Bar Design
The architect has extensive experience in restaurant and bar design beginning in Portland, Oregon while consulting to firms such as LRS Architects and Architropolis, design bars and restaurants around the country for Midnight Oil Company. He took this experience to Asheville, North Carolina where he completed projects such as the Crest Mountain Conference and Entertainment Center, The Crest Pavilion, and the Bywater and Rocket Club. He continues this work today as the architect for Goodfellas Pizzeria and Bar, as well as other proprietors.

Custom Residential and Solar Design

The architect’s background and experience in Tucson, Arizona led him into a passion for solar design. He has design hundreds of mountaintop, lakeside, and urban homes across the country. Currently he is woking with Urban Expansion in Cincinnati on rehabilitation and renovation of historic residences in Cincinnati’s Over-The-Rhine Historic District.
